Peace based on performance – but thankfully not ours!

John 16:33
I have said these things to you,
that in me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation.
But take heart;
I have overcome the world.”

TULIP Truth: Jesus’ peace for us is NOT dependent upon our performance. Neither was peace dependent upon the disciples’ performance, as Jesus spoke this promise to them hours before they all fled Christ.
