What is the whole Bibles single story about?
How can we understand the Meta-narrative of Scripture? How is Gods mission to save people to Himself unfolded throughout all of history?
History is really the story of Redemptive History: the Holy God pursing sinful man to glorify His great name by satisfying them in all that He is for them in Christ Jesus.
Outline or Screenplay of the entire story of the Bible:
- Act One: God establishes His Kingdom: Creation
- Act Two: Rebellion in the Kingdom: Fall
- Act Three: The King Chooses Israel: Redemption Initiated
Scene 1: A people for the King
Scene 2: A Land for His people
- Interlude: A Kingdom Story Waiting for an Ending: Inter-Testamental Period
- Act Four: The Coming of the King: Redemption Accomplished
- Act Five: Spreading the News of the King: The Mission of the Church
- Scene 1: From Jerusalem to Rome
- Scene 2: And into All the World
